Spreading the Word
Any new program, like a business, needs exposure and visibility in order to expand.
This is certainly the case with the surgical training program at the Good News Hospital. The vision has been to establish training that extends beyond the doors of a small rural hospital, to reach and impact other communities that need essential surgical care. And to lay a foundation for medical students from all around the country to take part in a program that will not only shape their skills but also speak to their very hearts.
For this reason, we celebrate with our colleague Dr. Marco in Madagascar as he was recently invited to take part in a special event hosted by the Faculty of Medicine at Mahajanga University. Collaborating with the medical school will increase the exposure of the residency training program being run at the Good News Hospital, allowing more students the opportunity to apply for this specialist training.
It is a joy to support Marco as he spoke at this event last week, spreading the word about the quality surgical residency training now accessible to them. Beyond that, to have the opportunity to share about the hope that is the foundation of why the program exists in the first place.
In the words of our colleague:
“We praise the Lord JESUS Christ for the opportunity for PAACS (Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons) to participate in the congress : Journée en Sciences de la Santé - Faculté de Médecine Université de Mahajanga (the Medical School at Mahajanga University)
