Make Life Changing Surgery Possible.

THEIR STORY

Over half of the world’s population lack access to adequate surgical care when needed.  In many countries, if care is available, the patients are burdened with the entire cost of surgery and hospitalization.  Many families incur crippling or even catastrophic financial loss due to the cost of surgery and surgical care. Surgery Helps exists to change this global inequality by supporting patients, families and communities.

Ways You Can Help

Give to our greatest need, and make a direct and immediate impact.

We don’t want anyone turned away from surgical care due to the lack of resources. Yet sometimes, a surgery can be financially catastrophic for an entire family, or completely impossible. Your contribution allows us to ensure that no one has to walk away without the help they need.

Patients

We believe in expanding the impact of surgical care by training the next generation of physicians to become quality surgeons.  In collaboration with the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons (PAACS), we helped open the first ever rural training program in Madagascar. This program continues today, training doctors through surgical education and spiritual discipleship, so hope and healing will continue for generations to come.

Trainees

We work with qualified African surgeons who have their board certification through the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa. These surgeons are passionate about using their skills and abilities to bring compassionate care and surgical training to Africa. Through a training partnership with Surgery Helps, they are able to reach the most underserved communities in their regions, bringing hope and healing where it is needed most.
